Sungai Petani Public Transportation

Getting around Sungai Petani is a breeze.
Visit Sungai Petani in Kedah, Malaysia.

Public Buses

There is a bus terminal in the centre of the town at Jalan Petri. Most of the public buses are equipped with air-conditioning and the fare is cheap too, thus travelling in comfort while enjoying your sightseeing trips.

The new services are the air-conditioned red coaches CityLiner and MARA Liner, while the old ones still available at your choice, the white coloured UTC buses and the yellow buses, KBRT.

Taxi

Taxi station is also located at Jalan Petri , just a walking distance from the bus terminal.

Most taxi drivers know the city extremely well, so you can rest assured that your targeted destination is reached.

Rail

The train station is near Sungai Petani's Clock Tower at Jalan Ibrahim.

Train from Kuala Lumpur or Thailand stop at this station for passengers to disembark or board.

You can take a slower but renowned journey by this mode, riding through the padi fields and local villages.
